Extinguishment
To achieve optimal preventive fire and explosion protection, the advanced detectors are combined with automatic countermeasures.
Nextech offers the following extinguishing solutions which can be combined as needed for maximum protection of the facility:
Extinguishment using water
Within milliseconds of appearing, the ignition sources are extinguished by a fine mist of water sprayed from the extinguishing nozzles. The nozzles are made of high-quality stainless steel which makes them highly resistant to wear. After the extinguishment, the shutter cone of the nozzle closes automatically, keeping the nozzle free of contamination. The use of different types of nozzles minimizes the amount of water needed.
Ultra-fast extinguishment: Two to three times faster reaction time
GreCon’s new ultrahigh-speed extinguishment UHS consists of a special high-speed solenoid valve and special spray nozzles adapted to this particular system. Extinguishment distances of less than 2 meters are made possible by the new ultrahigh-speed technology.
Diversion of material flow
Diversion gates can divert material flow to prevent ignition sources from being transferred to other areas of the facility.
The diversion gates are available in stainless steel for use in e.g. the food industry.
Interruption of material flow
Fire traps and shut-off gates can mechanically shut off transport ducts to prevent ignition sources from being transferred to other areas of the facility.

Alternative extinguishing concepts
If necessary, special extinguishing concepts involving gas, foam or steam can be used in connection with the system.
Pressure increasing units
In case the water pressure available is not sufficient for extinguishment, a water pressure increasing unit is installed which increases the pressure sufficiently. If the water supply to the pressure increasing unit is too low or if the unit is connected to a supply of drinking water, a storage tank has to be installed as well.
